As a General Manager , you will guide a skilled team, achieve results, and ensure a remarkable experience for both patients and staff on a daily basis. The General Manager plays a crucial role in the overall success, sales, and profitability of the store. This encompasses managing all operational facets, including financial performance, team leadership, merchandising, training, and patient care. You will cultivate a vibrant, positive atmosphere where outstanding service and collaboration flourish. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily store operations, including staffing, inventory control, bookkeeping, strategic planning, and adherence to company policies. Lead, mentor, and develop team members through ongoing coaching, constructive feedback, and growth opportunities. Evaluate store performance and guide associates to ensure exceptional customer and patient experiences from beginning to end. Collaborate with the Doctor to guarantee that every patient receives the highest standard of care. Conduct store audits to maintain quality, merchandising, and service standards. Maintain transparent communication with the District Manager and provide accurate reports. Ensure compliance with corporate and safety standards for the store and facility. Additional Duties Implement marketing, merchandising, and promotional strategies in line with brand standards. Manage budgets, supplies, and inventory to achieve financial objectives. Recruit, hire, and retain top talent while creating schedules that align with business needs and store traffic. Lead by example, guiding your team towards excellence in sales and service. Provide timely feedback and performance evaluations, proactively addressing any issues. Ensure adherence to company policies and maintain accurate records for associates. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of retail experience; supervisory experience is preferred. Familiarity with the optical industry is advantageous. ABO & NCLE Certification is required. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and foster strong relationships with associates. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales. A solid understanding of store operations and business performance metrics.
