Job Description:
As a Data Center Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will
oversee the operations and maintenance of our state-of-the-art data
centers that support the vast infrastructure enabling millions of
users across the globe to enjoy AWS cloud computing services. In
this role, you will ensure operational excellence by managing staff
and aligning with the global AWS standards for safety, security,
and efficiency. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will
work on continuous improvements, handle capacity planning, and
drive innovative solutions to optimize data center operations. Your
strategic approach and leadership will enhance our ability to
deliver fast, reliable services to AWS customers. Oversee daily
data center operations and maintenance activities. Manage local
data center teams, ensuring adherence to global operational
standards. Collaborate with IT, security, and facilities groups to
ensure a cohesive operation. Lead capacity planning and resource
allocation for seamless scalability. Implement best practices for
data center management including disaster recovery. Monitor
operational metrics and drive for continuous improvement in
efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Plan and coordinate routine
maintenance and upgrade schedules to minimize disruptions. Strong
understanding of data center technologies and infrastructure.
Experience in system administration and ITIL frameworks.
Proficiency in project management and data center operation
software. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to
manage complex technical challenges. Strong leadership and team
