The HR Assistant III will perform administrative tasks and services to support HR operations for the College of Veterinary's Human Resource office. A successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various HR processes. They will conduct themselves with the highest level of professionalism and integrity. A successful candidate will have outstanding interpersonal skills. They will be the front-line contact for current employees and to the public. They will have the ability to work in a fast past environment, handle multiple tasks at one time, and meet deadlines.   • Completes, checks, and process HR-related transactions in UAccess
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department
  • Creates and manages job postings in Talent
  • Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
  • Assist with the reviews of employment applications and evaluates minimum qualifications, determines equivalent qualifications if necessary
  • Informs new employees of policies and procedures as they relate to CVM employment
  • Conducts new hire orientation and I-9 verification
  • Responsible maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations
