Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/23/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Varied work schedule with opening availability /n• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate and document nursing care of patients in Progressive Care Unit /n• Complete patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs /n• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and assessment data /n• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation and supervision of healthcare team activities /n• Review patient history, diagnostics and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians /n• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising care plans as needed /n• Document all nursing activities in patient records in accordance with policies and standards /n• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other licensed nurses and personnel /n• Participate in multidisciplinary team collaboration and discharge planning /n• Maintain clinical performance competencies and participate in continuing education /n• Must possess current valid RN license in state of practice or compact licensure /n• BLS certification required /n• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required /n• Experience in acute care setting within past 12 months as Registered Nurse required /n• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred /n• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to patient care needs /n• Must use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids /n/n Facility: /n This medical center is part of a comprehensive healthcare system that provides excellent patient care through evidence-based practices and quality nursing services.
