Position Highlights
This position will support and provide back-up for the manager of
the veterinary technical staff to ensure that student learning
opportunities are staffed and prepped based upon instructional
design and delivery as determined by Course Coordinator(s) and
Course Affiliated Veterinarian Faculty. This individual will
partner with the manager of the veterinarian technical staff to
set-up, maintain, and tear-down laboratory and other teaching
stations as needed to deliver curricular content. This individual
is responsible for working collaboratively with the manager of the
veterinarian technical staff to assign technicians and animal care
staff to stations to meet faculty needs and to serve as a liaison
between staff and faculty to communicate any gaps that may be
anticipated to arise in the process of student instruction.
Collaborative engagement is a requirement with the intent to
participate in constructive dialogue about lab needs, lab delivery,
and safety concerns. This individual will contribute to
purchasing/ordering and inventory as needed and will assist Course
Veterinarian Faculty in managing the Pet Professor program by
contributing to email communications, lab attendance reminders,
vaccine status reminders.
