services to Early Head Start , Head Start, and NC Pre-K (preschool)
children across four counties in beautiful western North Carolina:

need? Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education, Human
Services, Business Management or a related field with or pursuing a
NC Child Care Administrator Credential, Level III. Degree(s) must
be from an accredited college recognized by the NC Department of
Child Development and Early Education. Three years of experience
administering/directing a NC licensed 5-star child care
facility/program and/or experience in business management. NC Pre-K
experience preferred. What You'll Do The Area Manager implements
program policies and procedures for the overall operation of
multiple centers and provides a high quality program by following
NC Pre-K guidelines, and Head Start Performance Standards. - The
Area Manager directs and oversees all management functions to
ensure quality, safety, and all applicable local/state/federal
program compliance. The Area Manager is an exempt, full time 12
month position, paying $50409.22 - $59571.20 / Year. What will your
day look like? Ensure the Head Start and NC Pre-K and related
services, DSS Subsidy and CACFP Food Program, etc. are adequately
managed, supervised, and maintained. - Maintain up to date
knowledgeable of the requirements of Head Start Performance
Standards, NC Pre-K program standards, NC child care licensing
rules, Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale (ITERS-R) and Early
Childhood Environment Rating Scale (ECERS-R) ensuring all
applicable documentation is up to date/maintained at all times.
Support the implementation of curriculum to fidelity by working
with staff in classroom settings. Positively engage families in
understanding program requirements by working closely with Family
Advocates and teaching staff to facilitate open communication and
problem-solving with parents/ guardians and provide communication
with parents/guardians about center activities. - -Advocate for the
needs of children, staff, families, and sites. Participate in
interviewing applicants for site positions as assigned. Support and
monitor provision of orientation and onboarding for new hires.
Serve as a member of the site team that responds to and supports
classroom behavioral needs. - Confirm that matching non-federal
shares are obtained and reported for the HS/NC Pre-K programs at
the center. Collect and forward to the appropriate staff monthly
nutrition records, enrollee absentee lists, children's health
records that need follow-up by the Health & Nutrition Coordinator,
and general mail. - Collect parent/guardian fees and deliver
deposit funds to the business office. Update Emergency Response and
Preparedness Plan and oversee the updating of the Emergency Medical
Care Plan for each center site as needed. Participate in training
and support the effective implementation of Reflective Supervision,
the Creative Curriculum, CPI Nonviolent Crisis Intervention
strategies, Making the Most of Classroom Interactions (MMCI), and
CLASS, as well as data management with ChildPlus. Help maintain a
safe environment by recognizing and responding to safety hazards in
the workplace.
