Position Description
As an organization of excellence, we're looking for just the right person to join the Marana team. We're seeking an innovative, collaborative, and experienced leader to serve as the next Water Deputy Director.

Depending on qualifications and experience, the position offers a negotiable hiring range of $101,780 to $127,225. The salary range is $101,780 to $152,670. The Town has a full and competitive benefit and retirement program.

The minimum requirements for the position:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/environmental/water resources engineering, business, public administration, or related field.
  • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience managing mid or large size water and/or wastewater groups with knowledge of government operations.
  • Valid Arizona driver license and the ability to pass a motor vehicle record check
  • The minimum qualifications must be met as written above. Preferred Qualifications:
    • Ten or more years of progressive supervisory experience in the water and wastewater fields.
    • Master's degree in civil/environmental/water resources engineering, business, public administration, or related field.
    • Experience with federal and state grants application and management.
    • An Arizona Registered P.E. in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and related fields. Recruitment Process:
      This position is open until filled. Applications will be screened weekly and preliminary Zoom interviews will be scheduled shortly after with the most ideal candidates. The Town will then invite a short list of candidates on site for further assessment. Post interview finalists will undergo reference checks, background checks and academic verifications.
