Professional Learning Product ManagerOur organization:
Illustrative MathematicsIM seeks to ensure that students,
particularly historically underserved students, and their teachers
have access to aligned, grade-level, mathematics curriculum
resources, and that teachers experience professional learning that
leads to enduring mathematical learning for their students. -The
team: The IM Professional Learning Products and Services team leads
the development of IM professional learning (PL) products and
services in collaboration with the PL Implementation and Talent and
Curriculum teams. IM PL products and services are key to supporting
districts' successful implementation of IM K-12 Math. Currently,
professional learning products and services are primarily focused
on synchronous professional learning experiences facilitated by IM
Certified Facilitators; these will expand into asynchronous PL
resources in the future. -Position SummaryWe are looking for a
Product Manager who will report to the VP, PL Products and Services
and oversee PL product development from inception to
implementation. The successful candidate moves easily between big
picture thinking and managing relevant detail, and is a born
collaborator who brings skills of teamwork, diplomacy,
adaptability, problem-solving, and strategic thinking to their work

Functions/Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of professional
learning product initiatives including synchronous and asynchronous
services and resourcesBecome an expert on IM product features and
ensure coherence across the product portfolioEnsure that products
meet expectations for consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of
deliveryHelp develop product strategy and take ownership of product
roadmapsWork with stakeholders to define each stage of the product
development life cycle so that teams always have a clear path
forwardLead the communication process internally and externally to
ensure products are successfully launched, implemented, and
supportedHelp to improve current product development processes, and
create new ones that best serve the organizationMaintain regular
communications and relationships with IM Certified partners and
other stakeholders, extrapolating partner and user feedback to
prioritize and address specific issues within product
developmentPrioritize competing demands across multiple internal
and external stakeholdersAnticipate stakeholder needs in order to
develop and discuss potential solutionsParticipate in
organizational lead-to-cash improvement efforts
Required Qualifications
A minimum of three (3) years of
experience in product management with a track record of success.
Experience building consumer-facing, K-12 education products
preferred.Experience developing product roadmaps to define and lay
out product strategy that helps guide the development, release, and
expansion of productsUnderstands both product life cycles and user
life cyclesA solid understanding of a product life cycle-from
conception to delivery to improvementsExperience working in and/or
serving K-12 school organizationsA track record of working
collaboratively and effectively with technical and non-technical
partner teams to oversee delivery of product solutionsExperience
working alongside cross-functional teams, understanding business
goals, end-user needs, and stakeholder requirementsExcellent
organizational, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management
skillsDemonstrated commitment to seeking and listening to feedback
that encourages - growth, surfaces blindspots, and recognizes and
disrupts patterns of inequityExcellent self-management and
interpersonal skillsDemonstrated ability to work on a highly
collaborative team to meet departmental and organizational
goalsExcellent written and oral communication skillsDesire to learn
and grow in an organization that is expanding its reach and
impactMust reside in and be legally authorized to work in the
USAPreferred Qualifications
Background in technology, UX, user
research, or professional learningUnderstanding of the K-12
professional learning marketExperience with or a willingness to
learn Asana and SalesforceExperience coordinating and collaborating
with learning product planners, marketing managers, and content
developersK-12 educational experience focused on shifting teachers'
instructional practice and/or shifting to standards-aligned
curricula (either in a school-based role or in an organization
delivering products or services to support these shifts)Strong
computer skills with cloud-based systems, especially Google
Workspace applications, Zoom, and Slack -Compensation & Benefits

for our team and offers competitive salaries commensurate with
experience and education. This position is exempt. The annual
salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000.IM also offers
employees a comprehensive group health benefits package, including
medical, dental, and vision, and an employer-sponsored 403b plan
with an employer match up to 4% of regular earnings.
