cycle.Our input in the design phase is critical to ensuring end

motivatedPrincipal System Safety Engineerto join us on the Air and
Space team in Tucson, AZ.What You Will Do:As aPrincipal System
Safety Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Analysis of
engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and
schematics assessment for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and
safety requirement compliance.Partner with system test and tactical
operation and maintenance procedures to ensure the proper
administrative system safety controls are in place.Support all
integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or
provide effective controls.Collaborate with Program Management and
government approval authorities from design, fabrication,
integration and test, production to demilitarization and disposal
phasesDevelop a System Safety Program and perform analyses
primarily in accordance with Mil-Std-882Work with varying sized
system safety programs and support multiple programs to
include:Monitoring program technical execution, Interfacing with
stakeholders (e.g. customers, program offices, subcontractors,
vendors)Preparing Safety Assessment Reports and Safety Program
Briefs for Customer ApprovalBriefing program safety at technical
reviews and as part of the safety approval processInterpreting
system requirements, customer specifications and military
standardsPreparing internal and customer reports describing various
analyses relevant to the System Safety programThis position is
posted as ONSITE and can be based at Raytheon's Tucson,
AZ.Qualifications You Must Have: Typically Requires a bachelor's
degree in science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)and a
minimum of 8 years of relevant Systems Engineering or Safety
Engineering experience .An advanced degree may account for
additional years of experience as required for this
position.Experience with System Safety Engineering, Systems
Engineering, Software or Firmware Engineering, Electrical
Engineering or equivalent Safety Engineering.Experience with DoD
System Safety Programs e.g. MIL-STD-882Active and transferable U.S.
government issued security clearance is required prior to start
date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are

Experience with system and software safety implementation in Agile
Development environmentExperience with interpersonal and project
management skills, with the ability to manage a safety program and
