Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Position Summary: Ensures that
quality control procedures adequately evaluate products. Determines
if current methods and techniques result in meeting reliability
standards or require modification. Develops, modifies, applies and
maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for
processing materials into partially finished or finished materials
product. Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions
to ensure quality standards are in place. Devises and implements
methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the
precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms
and equipment; conducts quality assurance tests; and performs
statistical analysis to assess the cost of and determine the
responsibility for, products or materials that do not meet required
standards and specifications. Audits quality systems for deficiency
identification and correction. Ensures that corrective measures
meet acceptable reliability standards and that documentation is
compliant with requirements. May specialize in the areas of design,
incoming material, production control, product evaluation and
reliability, inventory control and/or research and development as
they apply to product or process quality. May be certified in lean
and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies. Essential Duties
and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Lead root
cause analysis, facilitate corrective actions, and implement
process controls to improve product/process predictability and
capability. Lead Material Review Board (MRB) Support Quality
Management System (QMS) execution and implementation Perform
internal audits in alignment with QMS procedures Review and approve
changes to the technical data package, assign actions when
necessary, and complete actions in a timely manner when assigned.
This includes but is not limited to: Peer reviews, Engineering
Review/Change Control Board and/or Design reviews. Implement and
support product quality strategies using methodologies such as
Six-Sigma, Lean, Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). Support,
monitor and track execution of First Article Inspections for both
supplier and factory parts Support, monitor and track certification
of special processes for supplier parts. Develop standard operating
procedures within department. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Experience and Education: 0-2 years of relevant
experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent Working experience with
ISO9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems Working experience
in failure analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and
preventative actions. Technical Skills: Ability to identify and
resolve problems in a timely manner or develop alternative
solutions Proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office programs
and Windows operating system Ability to thrive in a changing,
fast-paced growing and dynamic business Detail oriented and able to
manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong written and verbal
communication skills Excellent organization skills and attention to
detail Physical Requirements: Extended screen time Long periods of
sitting Potentially long hours Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
