Job Description Job Description Electrical Engineering Supervisor Responsibilities Responsible for supervision of all electrical maintenance personnel Responsible for safety of personnel, equipment reliability, and product quality Train and develop electrical maintenance personnel in safety, equipment knowledge, and maintenance. Plan, control, review and report maintenance costs for the department. Collaborate with operations to maximize process efficiency. Outage and Project management / Coordinate and manage jobs with contractor support. Scheduling and tracking work-group tasks and down-day activities Qualifications Required: Proven track record as a leader regarding safety A preventive, condition-based approach to maintenance Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills and experience Experience with high levels of responsibility and decision making. Strong troubleshooting skills Must be self-motivated and possess a strong desire for continuous improvement. Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer, or software Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent demonstrated competency in required areas. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once Preferred: Prior hands-on maintenance experience in Steel Mill or Related Industry Electrical systems knowledge (PLCs, VFDs, Power Distribution - LV and MV) Experience programming SEL relays and using SEL relays for fault analysis
