We're looking for a driven and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. In this role, you'll be hands-on with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable (with collections), account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. You'll also play a key role in supporting audits and tackling a variety of accounting projects as the business scales. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of accounting experience, a strong grasp of accounting fundamentals, and a roll-up-your-sleeves mindset. You're comfortable jumping in where needed, learning new processes, and taking ownership of work that helps keep the finance function running smoothly. This role will work closely with the Controller and is a great opportunity to expand your responsibilities and grow alongside the company. Responsibilities Post vendor invoices, prepare and record payments, prepare AP aging reports Maintain W9 database and send 1099s at year end as needed Record customer invoices, record payments, prepare AR aging reports Perform collections efforts for selected invoices/customers including emails and phone calls Record payroll journal entries based on information coming from payroll system Reconcile bank and credit card accounts Assist with monitoring and maintenance of the general ledger Conduct month-end close processes Respond to information requests by management and auditors Document/update business processes to maintain and strengthen internal controls Assist with management reporting, audits and tax returns Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in finance/accounting Proven experience as a staff accountant with demonstrated understanding of the basic tenants – AP, AR, Payroll and GL Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures Understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Familiarity with financial accounting statements Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end close process Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables Accuracy and attention to detail Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field You don't meet every single requirement?
